Do I need to get a doctor’s order (Rx) before I come see you?
No and yes. Georgia is a direct access state. This means your physical therapist can evaluate you and provide treatment for 8 visits or 21 calendar days without a physician prescription. If more treatment is needed then we will contact your physician for the prescription. However, your insurance company may also require a prescription prior to treatment or to continue treatment.
Do I need to be "homebound" to receive your therapy?
No. Some people think that to qualify for therapy at home you must be home-bound (meaning it is very taxing or difficult to leave the home). We make physical therapy house calls billed under outpatient insurance benefits (Medicare Part B). Home Health agencies practice under a home care model (billed under Medicare Part A) and can include multiple providers. Comprehensive Health and Rehab bills Medicare B which does not require homebound status. This means that working or leaving the home will not disqualify you from our services.
Can I choose where to go to have Physical Therapy?
YES. Everyone has the right to choose where they wish to receive their Physical Therapy care. A majority of our patients come highly recommended by their Physicians, family and friends. .
We will expand our service area based on need. Comprehensive Health and Rehab reserves the right to deny service if the home is deemed unsafe for the therapist.
Will I have a co-pay?
As a courtesy, we will verify your insurance which includes obtaining your copay/coinsurance responsibilities.
How long will each visit last?
Evaluation will last between 60-90 minutes
Subsequent visits, if necessary, will last between 30-60 minutes.
What can I expect during my first session?
1. Your Doctor of Physical Therapy will perform an evaluation and follow up with treatment. This process begins by taking a detailed medical history, which is like an interview.
2. Your therapist with review your body systems and perform specific tests and measures which include assessing cognition, skin condition, posture, range of motion, strength, and balance/coordination.
3. The physical therapist formulates a PT diagnosis that is followed by condition specific patient education, the discussion of goals, the prescription of specific exercises, recommendations/follow up instructions, and the determination of the number of subsequent visits (frequency).
What do I wear for my physical therapy sessions?

Dr. Gabrielle Jones, PT, DPT, GCS, CLT-ALM
"I was first introduced to Physical Therapy as a patient who had surgery for a torn knee ligament. Once I graduated from Albany State University with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education, I decided to continue my education at Alabama State University where I received my Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) . "
" During my 12 years of practicing in various settings I noticed there was a great number of patients with chronic leg and or arm swelling that did not go away easily. Through an indepth discussion with a great friend/fellow PT, I became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). I have treated patients with chronic (slow healing) wounds, chronic swelling, and swelling following treatment for vascular surgeries and breast cancer."
"My passion for the geriatric population resulted in obtaining board certification with specialization in Geriatric Physical Therapy (GCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. For the past 4 years I have also treated men and women for incontinence and pelvic pain. "
"I love taking care of my patients and watching them getting better. It brings me so much joy. I adore spending time with my husband, 2 beautiful girls, and dog in addition to listening to music, dancing, and cooking."
"As your Care Coordinator, my goal is to make your Patient Intake process as easy as possible. I have over 30 years of customer service experience and love to bring out the best in others. Being around my family brings me joy."
